Love to have fun (well who doesn't)! I am little bit of a party animal, but wouldn't mind spending an evening reading a book or just watching the tv. I do tend to talk a lot but sometimes i plain switch off and brood...still dont know what about. I love dogs!! I have one of my own and he is the best gift I gave myself.

It does come true...

I haven’t been blogging for a while now and I think it's going to less frequent from now. Getting better from a sudden bout of sickness and today got some real good news. I just couldn’t believe my ears…I am still in shock. I mean here is the thing that I was waiting for soooo long and I finally got it! Thank you God, I know you have been listening to my prayers. :)

And of course my pals (and the P.G.G.H) who believed in me more than I did. And thanks to AFJ for coming with me and holding my hand. You guys I just can't express how happy I am! Dreams and wishes do come true, all you need to do is have faith. Well I won’t be blogging that often but will drop in once in a while. I really can't say where and what I am talking about here but I just wanted to share my happiness.
Take care all of you and have loadsa loadsa fun and chin up to all those people who are low…there is hope after all.

Creepy Stuff!

So here I was reading Calvin and Hobbes late in the night… happy and content under my mosquito net. Now once I get into the net I hate crawling out…and my roommate knows that!
Suddenly she jumps out of her bed and scrambles to mine. She is making these funny sounds all the while looking at her side of the mosquito net. First thought…she had a bad dream...but she wasn't sleeping. Second thought…jezz I am sure it’s some big ugly bug…but when I turned to see what it was, ta da…it was this tiny little lizard…outside her mosquito net!

Sigh… I told her fine I will go and shoo it away. She didn’t want me to get out of the mosquito net…something about the lizard coming in…yes that’s right…you are this big fly and the lizard is waiting to gobble you up!! I crawled out of the net and shooed it away. Had to tuck my net all over again and finally settled down to read.

Ten minutes go by…the lizard pays a visit and this time Ms. smarty pants rips open my net jumps on my bed, literally pushing me out and letting all those blood sucking jets inside…thanks buddy! Shooed it away again…and while I was lecturing her about the difference between yelling for a creepy roach and a harmless lizard…someone knocks on the door. Now it’s like one something in the morning and the sudden knock made her scream…she screamed and I screamed. Yes, very dumb I know!

It was Prey…she had heard my roomie scream and when she came down to check on us… we both screamed and she kinda got worried. Thank god ‘she’ didn’t scream or the warden would have come running. She had a nice laugh at our expense…

It’s nice to have a roommate who can’t stand lizards. So when it comes to lizards I help her out and when it comes to bugs she comes to my rescue. Don’t know what we would do if a spider comes visiting though… the last time we saw big spider both of us climbed on the table and yelled the place down.

GUILTY!

AFJ tagged me and I completely forgot about posting this. It’s when I was reading Rita’s blog that I remembered. AFJ: real sorry about this and I do feel guilty for taking so long.

Here it is, all my guilt and some…

Culinary Guilt: Not much of a fuss pot about food. I tend to munch between meals and then I am way too full to eat lunch or dinner. I have odd times when it comes to being hungry. I can cook as long as I have a good cook book to guide me and I should be in the mood to cook also. Give me an oven any day. Cannot slave over the stove….
I don’t have breakfast. When mommy was here she used to make me drink a glass of milk in the morning but since I moved into hostel, I skip breakfast. Can’t stomach food in the mornings…the most important meal of the day and I skip it.

Literary Guilt: sigh …I do read real mush soemtimes…even predictable mills and boon. I know…I know!

Audiovisual Guilt: I actually sit and watch serials like “Woh rehene wali mehlon ki”…I crib about the serial but I still end up watching it. I do not feel guilt for watching cartoon network or animax!

Musical Guilt: Well I am a south indian but do I like tamil songs?…ummm no. I just don’t get them. I don’t get the words half the time…probably because my tamil is kinda sad to begin with. This what happens when you drag your kid from one city to the other…postings and postings…(dad: I wouldn’t change a thing about it, loved it :D)Well out of a 100 songs I would probably like 2 or three songs, that too cos of the tune. I rather stick to hindi and english anyday.

Celebrity Guilt: Celeb guilt?? I just don’t do the “shriek shriek” when I see a star; I just don’t get it. While my friends would go ‘ohhh’ and ‘ahhh’, I will be like ya he is nice…that’s it. Weird I tell you…

And some:

Shopping Guilt: This is never ending, trust me on this. I can shop and shop and still think I havent shopped enough.

Clothes guilt: I have enough and more clothes stacked but I still wail…” I have nothing to wear”! Mom has given up on me about this.

Is there more? Oh yes!

Don’t go to the Church Guilt: I read the bible every day and night and pray too. I go to the church only when someone tags along. I never go alone to the church…I just don’t.

That’s it…that’s all the guilt I have or can stomach!
And the five bakhras are:
Naveen
Ashish
Sangeeta
Rebel_on_loose
Vee
Sorry you guys but my hands are tied. You have to do the first five categories. If you want to do it you can...your choice.
The rest of you can go scot free. :D

Keeping it Short

I was going to write about all that I did this weekend but since half of it is about food…I will shush up. Don’t want to get beaten by people who are longing for good khana. But here is a quick recap...

Saturday: Went out for dinner with bro-in-law to Peshawari…. yummy (Note: I have not mentioned what I had there!)
Sunday: Daddy came to see me…went out for lunch to the club, went shopping for mommy…came back played badminton in the hostel…went out for dinner with dad, again. :)
(Note: I have not mentioned what I had for lunch or dinner).

The badminton game was good, though we were clowning around. Now it’s back to work all over again…sigh. But I am waiting to get back to hostel and play ‘badi’ with the others.

Almost forgot, went out for shopping, felt quite guilty about it but could not resist buying. Besides, got my sisters full support on the shopping spree. :D
